Three-dimensional (3D) sensor networks using multiple light-detection-and-ranging (LIDAR) sensors are good for smart monitoring of spots, such as intersections, with high potential risk road-traffic accidents. The image must share the strictly limited computation capacity an edge computer. To have speeds required from real-time applications, system a short delay while maintaining quality output, e.g., accuracy object detection. This paper proposes spatial-importance-based scheme that can be implemented on computer image-sensor composed 3D sensors. considers regions where objects exist more likely to ones higher spatial importance.
